Just Another Monday

Follow me around and catch a glimpse into the life of a housewife....
(ooooooh....so exciting! In her native environment! Shhh! Don't distract her! She's unaware that you're watching...)

Gypsy (Lab mix) decided that she needed to kill her sister Katie's (rat terrier) beanie baby.

It was a gruesome sight. Beads everywhere. I don't think he's going to make it.

Katie is heartbroken.

I cleaned up the crime scene...aka vacuumed the floor.

Gypsy tried to kill the vacuum, too.

The little boys asked for their current breakfast obsession: peanut butter sandwiches.

But I'm out of peanut butter.

We go through a lot of peanut butter.

They may turn into peanut butter sandwiches here soon.

After a tear-filled uproar and more than a hint of mutiny, I convinced them to let me make them french toast.

I was also on a mission to keep tv time to a minimum.

I apparently had a death wish today.

There were approximately 58,479,632 requests for Octonauts, Mickey Mouse....even a "Mom. Look at my face. Mom. Look. Look at my face. You see my eyes? They're sad. Sad eyes. I will give you so, so, so, so, so many kisses if you turn on the tv."

Unfortunately, I had to turn down the kiss jackpot.

The tv stayed off until evening.

But then I had to run to the grocery store and I didn't trust the toddlers not to kill the older children if they tried to stand in their way of electronic goodness.

MJ and Christian decided that they would all play the Wii.

So Antonio and I zipped over the grocery store.

I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get to my favorite farmer's market this week....I really wanted to make a lot of green juices this week. But I didn't have the time to get to the FM, so I'll settle for the sad produce selection that my local super Walmart offers and some frozen fruit for smoothies this week.

I *am*, however, super excited to see that my Walmart is carrying more and more organic canned/jarred foods under the brand name "Wild Oats".

I got beans, pasta sauce, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce....all organic and at great prices! You should totally check your local Walmart and see if they carry them, too.

$1.95 for organic pasta sauce, yo!!

And then I came home, put away groceries and made dinner.

Spaghetti and garlic bread.

Easy peasy.

And we're having leftover birthday cake for dessert!!!

Poor AussieBear passed out before I could pass out the cake :(.

I might wake him up to have his...he was so excited to have cake. And ate all his dinner. And patiently waited for me to finish this entry. But then his heavy little eyelids drooped shut and now he's sound asleep.....

I'll see if I can wake him up. If not, I'll let him eat his tomorrow.

He'll be struttin' around like a proud little rooster, if he's the only one who gets cake tomorrow....haha

Well, I'm off!!! See you tomorrow!!
